Naoko is a modestly built human woman, mixed race with prominent Japanese features. Around 5'5", she has an average frame, thin and somewhat fit. Dark, brown-black hair, usually done into a ponytail or a braid complements her casually cute look. Naoko is oval-faced, but has brown, round yet angular eyes, and a somewhat refined, low bridged nose. Her skin is fairly tanned. She speaks in a soft-spoken, typically lighthearted and appealing manner.

Defensive Equipment
- Regular Clothes. An assortment of various clothes, sometimes fire resistant.
- Uniform Clothes. A high-vis paramedic vest, with plenty of pockets, and a fire resistant uniform shirt. Sometimes a hat, and always her pants.
- Winter Clothes. A dark, thick, weatherproof coat, layered with synthetic insulation, and some brown camouflage pants over a pair of warm yoga pants. A hood is attached to the coat, and is usually accompanied by a scarf and some gloves.
- Stab-Ballistic Vest. A fairly fashionable, form fitting and comfortable stab-ballistic vest, sitting underneath most of her clothing. It's a Level II ballistic armor, and protects against slashes, and stabs to a lesser extent due to its construction. It's worn almost all of the time by Naoko, and imbued with affection.
- ILC-N-7M Normal Suit. An airtight hazardous environment suit, space grade. Comes with a HUD system inside the helmet. It can resist minor impacts from micrometeorites, and even bits of shrapnel. Has an oxygen supply of 6 hours. The back can be attached with several modules, including extra oxygen and water supply, a maneuvering kit, or a storage pack.
Offensive Equipment
Standard Carry
- CC.E-VI "Piegarsi" Blaster. A compact, more powerful, easily holstered blaster. An energy cell is loaded into the back of the pistol, lasting for 15 trigger pulls. Making use of a twin-linked emitter, it fires two bolts in an alternating burst, essentially doubling the fire rate. The 'Bullpuppy', as Naoko likes to call it, takes advantage of a balanced bullpup handgun design, and though strangely shaped, is carefully adjusted as to not cause discomfort for the user.
Stored, but at Disposal
- V94-P Energy Handgun. A high capacity, 100 round blaster handgun. Sturdy, reliable, and concealed, one wouldn't be able tell Naoko was carrying it on her person. However, it must be charged at a stationary port.
Abilities
General
- Trained Universal Paramedic. Naoko can skillfully diagnose and treat trauma and various other injuries on the spot in almost all organics, though is less experienced with plasmoids and synthetics.
- Licensed Commercial Astronaut, Cat III. Naoko is able and knowledgeable in space transportation, particularly in the commercial sector. She's capable of plotting orbits and traversing interstellar lanes, and knowledgeable in orbital procedures and protocols.
- Natural-born Spacer. Low gravity, no gravity, Naoko loves it all. Having lived in low and zero-g environments for a decent portion of her life, Naoko can skillfully orient and move herself in such situations. Naoko also possesses a low level of radiation resistance, from being raised in a space colony.
- Psionically Sensitive. Naoko's upbringing in space and her emphathetic tendencies have manifested into psionic sensitivity. This means that she may pick up on forms of psychic interference, and is vulnerable to psionic abilities that target her.
Psionic Nature
- Innate Sensitivity. Naoko's being is more attuned to the metaphysical layer than most others, which translates into a set of traits that characterize her sensitivity. Given that this sensitivity is rooted in her existence and not an ability manipulating psionic wavelengths, Naoko's sensitivity cannot be nullified in and of itself. However, various forms of nullification can render some of her senses moot.
- Sixth Sense. Because of her sensitivity to psionics, Naoko can pick up on the usage of abilities, the presence of enlightened or latently powerful psions, and other irregularities in the metaphysical wave field. This sense is not all encompassing, and varies with proximity, the strength of the presence, and other vague and unknown variables.
- Conduit. As Naoko is more attuned to the metaphysical layer, the metaphysical layer is more attuned to her, meaning that her mind and body act as a conduit for other psionic abilities. This means that Naoko is more extremely affected by these abilities both physically and mentally, for better or for worse.
Psionic Abilities
- Clairvoyant Focus. A trained ability, Clairvoyant Focus allows a concentrating user to utilize their Sixth Sense in a more concise and sensitive manner, picking up more strongly on psionic irregularities while also being able to determine their nature. Requiring concentration, Clairvoyant Focus can usually only occur when the user is free of distraction, and is aided by silence and meditation. The use of Clairvoyant Focus is undetectable, as it is a passive sensing of whatever wavelengths are being given off.
- Metaperception. An awakened ability, Metaperception allows the user to visualize psionic auras, emanating from the use of psionics, psionic users, latents, and affected objects or artifacts. The user can perceive irregularities in the metaphysical wave field, and clarity varies with the strength of the phenomenon and the distance from it, along with any other affecting factors. The user must focus for about six seconds before activating Metaperception, and the ability can be stopped at will. Those examined with Metaperception may be able to feel the tingling effects of it, and may sense that they are being watched. Metaperception is vulnerable to nullification, and prolonged use of the ability can lead to temporary blind spots forming.
- Insulator. A trained ability, Insulator allows the user to resist psionic effects as a reaction. The user must be cognizant in order to use Insulator, meaning that effects that quickly incapacitate cannot be countered. Insulator acts by tuning the user’s mind and body out and away from the metaphysical layer. Repeated or prolonged use is exhausting physically and mentally. Insulator can be used repeatedly, in quick succession at first, but the time between uses grows exponentially as the user tires. A rest of around an hour is enough to mostly recover from the exhaustion.
- Psychic Lance. An awakened ability, Psychic Lance enables the user to psychically attack and retaliate against psionic users. Psychic Lance can be used independently as a psychic attack, resulting in headaches, psychic pain, and loss of focus, which may disrupt active psionic abilities. Psychic Lance is most effective when used in retaliation. When the user is targeted by psionic abilities, Psychic Lance can be used as a reaction, inflicting great psychic pain, migraines, total disruption of concentration, and even psychic shock. Psychic Lance can only be used on targets that are able to be sensed by the user, and may cause headaches and psychic pain in the user depending on the severity of the strike. Psychic Lance can be used about two to three times consecutively before the user succumbs to pain shock, but rest can buffer and reset the pain.
Miscellaneous
- Medical Equipment. Being a paramedic, Naoko carries various equipment on her uniform and in her medical bag. On her uniform, one might find a pocket analyzer, injectors, and some wound treatment kits. In her bag is a variety of diagnostic and lifesaving equipment, various chemicals, instruments, and treatment kits.
- Concealed Retention Holster. A holster with passive retention, concealed on various parts of the body. One would have trouble removing the weapon from it, unless they were the wearer, or were afforded the opportunity to do so unimpeded.
